Trump to speak in Tucson days after presidential debate, Walz visit to Phoenix
TUCSON, AZ (AZFamily) — Former President Donald Trump is coming to Arizona later this week as the race to the White House heats up with less than 60 days to Election Day.
It’s happening days after he is set to appear on the ABC News Presidential Debate, which is happening on the same night that Democratic VP hopeful, Tim Walz is scheduled to speak in Phoenix.
According to a campaign email obtained by Arizona’s Family, Trump is expected to discuss the economy and the “rising cost of housing.”
“Arizonans know they would be worse off with another four years of leadership that frivolously spends our hard-earned money and continues to defend criminals over lawabiding citizens. It’s exactly why Arizonans trust President Trump to Make America Affordable and Safe Again,” a portion of the campaign email read.
The event is scheduled to take place at the the Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, formerly known as the Tucson Music Hall on Thursday, Sept. 12.
Doors open at 11 a.m. with Trump’s remarks expected at 2 p.m. General admission tickets for Thursday’s event are available through the Trump campaign’s website.
On the Democratic side, the Harris campaign told Arizona’s Family that Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff will also be in the Tucson area as part of the party’s “New Way Forward battleground tour,” which launches after Tuesday’s debate.
