200 animals moved to new Arizona Humane Society campus
PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — Hundreds of dogs, cats and critters are now at a new home!
The Arizona Humane Society announced on Wednesday that 200 animals were moved from the shelter’s Sunnyslope campus to the new Rob & Melani Walton Papago Park Campus.
Volunteers were up bright and early to help transport all the furry friends. Officials say pets filled up ten AHS transport and ambulance vehicles, four MCACC trucks and a handful of volunteer vehicles, ready to be moved to the campus.

Among the animals were Fawn, Rin and Blueberry, who were the first pets to be placed in their new kennels! Those cute animals will then receive treatment at the shelter’s new Lazin Animal Foundation Trauma Hospital.
Officials are reminding the public that shelter services are no longer available at the Sunnyslope campus. If you find a sick or injured animal, contact the Arizona Humane Society’s Pet Resource Center at (602) 997-7585 ext. 3800 for guidance on where to take the animal.
