Seeing smoke in Flagstaff? Here’s why
FLAGSTAFF, AZ (AZFamily) — If you’re seeing smoke in Flagstaff, there’s no reason to panic.
Monday morning’s smoke in the area is coming from the Deer Springs and Silver King fires in southern Utah.
Air quality in the area ranges from “Moderate” to “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” because of the smoke.
Coconino National Forest posted on social media reminding residents to take the necessary precautions if they are sensitive to smoke.
In response to the wildfires, the City of Flagstaff is providing residents with free air purifiers. The deadline to apply is July 19. Priority will be given based on age, income and medical history.
