Teen boy in critical condition after shooting in Avondale
A second teen has been detained
AVONDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — One teenager is hospitalized, and another has been detained following a shooting in Avondale late Wednesday morning.
Shortly before noon, Avondale police responded to an apartment complex on Dysart Road south of Van Buren Street. There, officers found a 17-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say a second teen was detained at the apartment complex, but other details were not immediately available.
Detectives have been called to the scene.
