After sharing the fundraiser on social media, Buckeye Police posted on Wednesday that enough money has been raised to get K-9 Echo his vest! Buckeye PD says his vest is on the way!

“Because community partners reached out to offer assistance, the department can direct its funds to fulfill other needs like resources and equipment to enhance officer safety,” Buckeye Police said in a Facebook post.

The vest campaign will remain open. Buckeye PD says surplus donations will go towards victims of Hurricane Helene and help the nonprofit Aerobridge deliver supplies to the impacted area. To learn more about the fundraiser or donate, click here.

30x30 is a nonprofit that funds up to 30 campaigns for 30 days to raise money for K-9 units, first responders or emergency community needs. The organization can purchase vests at discounts law enforcement can’t access.
