PHOENIX (AZFamily) — For one Valley teen, his experience in scouting is a testament to his dedication, leadership and passion to serve. Now, Connor Carlson is starting college and received a huge scholarship!
Carlson has been in Eagle Scouts for over a decade, earning his Eagle Scout badge when he was just 14 years old. He’s received many awards along the way, including serving in the Grand Canyon Council and earning 61 merit badges.
The teen is one of four recipients in the country who will get a $25,000 college scholarship over four years. Carlson says the scholarship will help him “focus on his studies and future success, without worrying about financial burdens.”
He plans to attend Arizona State University and pursue a degree in engineering. Great job, Connor!
