BUCKEYE, AZ (AZFamily) — One West Valley volunteer is working to make a difference in her community, and that is Something Good!

Mary was recently honored by the Buckeye Police Department for her commitment to service as one of the West Valley’s longtime volunteers. She started her career in the Army as a military police officer and served in various capacities for over 25 years. After leaving the military, Mary continued to serve in county and city law enforcement agencies.

Buckeye police say Mary always has a smile on her face, greeting folks in the lobby and providing information or help. She volunteered for the city and police department for a decade, stating the best part about her job was the people!

Mary will be moving on to her next adventure, which is moving to Arkansas. Buckeye police posted on social media, writing, “We are so grateful for her service to our community and wish her well in her next chapter.”

Thank you, Mary, for dedicating your life to serving the community!
