GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Firefighters often respond to all types of calls that include both animals and people. But for the Glendale Fire Department, things got a little wild at the station itself!

Glendale Fire posted a picture on its Facebook page with the caption, “When your fire station shares a fence with a park that is a retired ranch, you never know what might wander in!”

Firefighter Stratton heard a strange noise behind the ice machine and got quite the surprise! He discovered a trapped rooster. Using gloves and a towel for safety, Stratton rescued the poor rooster and returned it to its home unharmed.

Thank you to Firefighter Stratton and everyone at Glendale Fire for helping out our furry and feathered friends.
