Surprise 4th-grader donates birthday money to local organizations
Something Good is sponsored by Papa Murphy’s
SURPRISE, AZ (AZFamily) — Most kids can’t wait to spend their birthday money on new toys or clothes. But one West Valley girl is doing Something Good with the cash she was gifted!
Harper Fraser, a 9-year-old from Surprise, has been saving up money she’s received from past birthdays — totaling to $400! Instead of spending it on herself, Harper decided to donate the cash to three Valley organizations to help people and animals in need.
The 4th-grader at Legacy Traditional Schools donated some money to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, shopped for food to give to St. Mary’s Food Bank and generously shared the rest to help her favorite animals at her favorite animal rescue, Farm Angels Animal Sanctuary.
Service to others and giving is all in the family! Harper’s father is a retired force recon Marine. Great job, Harper!
