SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Police are searching for a person who was caught on video damaging several political signs along a Scottsdale intersection.

On Sept. 29, around 4:30 a.m., a person on a bike was captured tearing apart some political signs near Hayden Road and Sweetwater Avenue. Video shows the man crossing the road on his bike before stopping in front of the signs.

He then stops to rip up the first two signs before damaging three more, including Kari Lake and Matt Gress campaign signs. Lake is the Republican U.S. Senate nominee, while Gress is running as a Republican candidate for Arizona House District 4.

Lake did not make a statement, but her official campaign X account reposted the video from Scottsdale police.

Authorities say this is considered a crime of defacing a political sign and criminal damage.

If you have any information on the suspect, call 480-312-8477 (TIPS).
