Vehicle fire causes 11+ mile backup on I-17 near Black Canyon City
BLACK CANYON CITY, AZ (AZFamily)—Drivers heading to the high country Monday morning should plan for extra travel time as a vehicle fire is causing extended delays near Black Canyon City.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer with construction supplies overheated in the northbound lanes of I-17 around 7:45 a.m. near Sunset Point.
Troopers say the driver pulled over, and the truck engulfed in flames which spread to the trailer, construction equipment and nearby brush.
Fire crews arrived and put out the flames. No injuries have been reported.
Traffic officials say the fire caused an 11-mile backup on I-17 between Black Canyon City and Bumble Bee. One lane is open, and DPS expects the freeway to be fully reopened by noon.
Drivers are asked to consider delaying travel or to take alternative routes until all lanes are open.
