MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — Former President Donald Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance, is set to travel to the East Valley once again this week to hear directly from voters.

The Ohio senator is set to appear at a CPAC town hall at Redeemer Apostolic Church in Mesa on Wednesday.

Organizers said Vance will take questions directly from Arizonans on issues that affect them most. It’s one of several visits that Vance has made to Arizona in recent weeks.

Arizona is a battleground state and is likely to be a heavy campaign stop for both parties as the general election creeps closer—now less than a month away.

The Democratic ticket is also making stops in the Grand Canyon State this week. On Wednesday, Vice Presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz is expected to participate in a militaries and families event in Chandler with U.S. Senate candidate Ruben Gallego and Jim McCain, son of former Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain.

After the military event, the governor will then meet Gila River Indian Community Governor Stephen Roe Lewis and other tribal leaders in the Phoenix area. Later Wednesday evening, Walz will arrive in Tucson to speak to supporters at a campaign rally. There will be no rally held in Phoenix.

Harris will also be in Arizona this week for an event on Friday, but specifics about that event have not been announced.

Monday, Oct. 7, is the last day to register to vote in the 2024 election in Arizona.
