TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - It wasn’t easy, but the Arizona Wildcats overcame a slow start to beat the NAU Lumberjacks 22-10 Saturday night, September 7, at Arizona Stadium.

Wildcats’ Quarterback Noah Fifita led the offense with 173 yards passing, to go with a touchdown and one interception.

That was enough to overcome NAU Quarterback Ty Pennington and a Lumberjacks team that had a 10-6 lead heading into halftime.

The second half was all Wildcats as Arizona opened the scoring and never looked back.

The win follows the Wildcats’ opening week 61-39 win against New Mexico.

In that game, T-Mac had 304 receiving yards, which led to his being named the AP Player of the Week. That is the video playing in the video player.

The Wildcats’ next game is Friday, September 13, on the road against Kansas State.
