WD-40 on dish rack, food kept past due date among violations at Phoenix-area restaurants
PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for Feb. 14, 2024:

- Cooked shredded chicken left overnight on counter
- Cooked steak out of temperature
- Basket of beans not cooling properly
Whole Foods Market - 4701 N. 20th St., Phoenix
3 violations
- Employee not cleaning utensils/cutting board correctly
- Deli turkey and cheese not kept cold enough
- Garlic and tofu sauce kept past discard date
Brat Haus - 3622 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale
3 violations
- Dishwashing machine not cleaning properly
- Pans of BBQ not cooling properly
- Chicken and gravy not held at proper temperature
Match Market & Bar - 1100 N. Central Ave., Phoenix
3 violations
- No soap at hand wash sink
- Cooked chicken and pork belly kept past discard date
- Waffle batter stored over cheeses
The Vig - 8729 N. Central Ave., Phoenix
3 violations
- No hot water at hand wash sink
- Cooked pasta kept past discard date
- A can of WD-40 stored on a dish rack
