PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for March. 6, 2024:
Crust Pizzeria - 1120 E Baseline Rd, Tempe
3 violations
- Chef using cell phone at prep counter then grabbing 2 slices of pizza
- Chef not washing hands properly
- Sliced cheese and sausage not held at proper temperature
Athens on Easy Street - 7 E Sundial Circle, Carefree
4 violations
- No paper towels at front bar
- Pasta with meat not kept cold enough
- Chicken kabobs not cooked properly
- Seafood not labeled correctly
Oregano’s Pizza Bistro - 20677 E Maya Rd, Queen Creek
4 violations
- Knives covered with food debris stored as clean
- Tomato puree for pizza not kept hot enough
- Cheddar cheese not kept cold enough
- Cleaning solution not used correctly
