PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for April 24, 2024:

Safeway (Bakery) - 13733 Fountain Hills Blvd, Fountain Hills

3 violations

• Worker handling bread with bare hands
• Bread spray in non-food grade bottle
• Pan washer not working properly

Streets of New York - 5965 W Ray Road, Chandler

3 violations

• Bag of raw sausage stored above chipotle paste
• Dishwasher not cleaning properly
• Marinara not kept hot enough

The Stone Korean Tofu House - 1870 W Main Street, Mesa

3 violations

• Tofu and Broccoli not kept cold enough
• Kimchi kept past discard date
• Sanitizer not used correctly

Dennys - 3205 W Bell Road, Phoenix

3 violations

• Employee not washing hands properly
• Liquid eggs not kept at proper temperature
• Hash Browns not cooling properly

Kneaders Bakery and Café - 6611 E McDowell Rd, Mesa

3 violations

• Employee adjusted pants, scratched face, then spread frosting on a sweet roll
• Eleven cartons of strawberries with organic white growth
• Havarti cheese not kept at proper temperature
