SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) —Bernie Rubinstein likes to watch TV. So, when he received this offer from Dish TV asking him to switch to their service, it piqued his interest. “It said, if you change to Dish network, we will send you a $500 credit card reward (for signing up).”

Bernie says Dish TV was cheaper than his current satellite provider, and who couldn’t use an extra $500? “Here’s $500 for me for really not doing a whole lot of anything,” Bernie told On Your Side.

Bernie signed up with Dish TV back in February, but he never received the $500 he had been promised.

Bernie says he called and called, and for the past seven months, he’s always been told the money was on the way. Then, when he recently contacted Dish TV again, he was told he wasn’t getting anything because the offer had expired. So, he contacted On Your Side. “It’s not going to affect my lifestyle. But at the same time, I don’t like to get screwed.”

On Your Side contacted Dish TV and, after asking them to investigate, they issued Bernie a $500 credit on his Dish bill. Bernie says it happened with the help of On Your Side.
