PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Cooler temperatures have finally arrived in the Valley. After morning temperatures in the 60s and 70s, look for an afternoon high of just 94 degrees. That’s six degrees below average and also marks the first time since May that Phoenix will see a high temperature in the double digits.

An area of low pressure moving to the north of Arizona will continue to bring morning and early afternoon showers and thunderstorms to the higher elevations of Eastern Arizona. The rest of Arizona will likely stay dry today.

For the Valley, dry weather is expected for at least the next seven days.

However, a weather system moving through the region later this week could bring showers to northern Arizona on Thursday and Friday.

For the Valley, temperatures will hover in the 90s through Saturday before warming back above normal and back to the triple digits on Sunday. Mornings will stay very mild in the 60s and 70s.
